At 1:30 p.m. Eastern today, Mark Fox's Georgia Bulldogs will try to string together back-to-back wins for the first time since late December. In order to do that, the Hoop Hounds will have to get the better of the Mississippi St. Bulldogs in Starkville and on the SEC Network.
That, however, will be a tall order for the Red and Black. The Magnolia State Mongrels have won four of their last five, aided by Dee Bost, who leads the league in assists and may or may not have skipped out on a pregnant woman in "Lonesome Dove," producing much needless anguish.
Dial up the game, cheer on the Bulldogs (the real Bulldogs), and join the conversation in the comments.
Go 'Dawgs!

Another cold start
Defense isn’t horrible, but somebody needs to make some shots.
Dawg from Canton - February 11, 2012
Not too bad so far
We’re staying with them, at least. KCP is getting hot.

Mr. Sanchez - February 11, 2012
Cardiac Dawga again
embarrassed last week by the gutter of the west and now OT with #18 in the country
Dawg2011 - February 11, 2012
Go Dawgs!
You know, in its form of the last two games, this Georgia team is kind of like Everton’s form in the last two matches.

Wallacewade04 - February 11, 2012
Happy to oblige, Wallacewade04.
Good win for the good Bulldogs today.
(By the way, the instantaneous ill-informed roundball wrapup is posted on the front page.)
T Kyle King - February 11, 2012
We just beat a ranked team on the road
I’m speechless…. Go Dawgs!

WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!
vineyarddawg - February 11, 2012
Landy Cakes had a hell of a pass for an assist
and Dempsey with a rocket goal
I’m in a good mood haha
Wallacewade04 - February 11, 2012
We're really gonna miss him (again)...
… when he retreats back to the USA (again) at the end of the month.
vineyarddawg - February 11, 2012
and this is probably his last chance to make an impact in the league
he’s had great spell with Everton AGAIN and now he goes back to LA because MLS is stupid stupid stupid
which is probably why I always buy Dempsey USMNT gear
/shrug
Wallacewade04 - February 11, 2012
I don't think it's MLS's fault, if you know what I mean.
Donovan seems to be just scared to commit to another long-term international assignment. He’s content to be a big fish in a small pond in the US soccer market… which is why he will never live up to the potential he had to be one of the true greats of the game. He refuses to push himself to the next level.
vineyarddawg - February 11, 2012
that's very true as well
I guess I’d rather say grrrr EVIL LEAGUE than look bad on one of our boys
on a lighter note PHILADELPHIA UNION GOTS THEM A BAMA BOY
Chandler Hoffman!
Oh wait… now I have to watch an MLS game? Dammit…
Wallacewade04 - February 11, 2012
Still
don’t they own his rights? Sell a couple of the bigger older names, Donovan and Henry, among others. Then use the proceeds to reinvest in youth development and go find a couple of talented kids that can become the next generation of stars.
Mr. Sanchez - February 12, 2012
Did you catch Suarez
and his ass-hattish pre-game hand shake snub of Evra? It’s enough to Never Walk in Public.
DavetheDawg - February 11, 2012
'poolers acting like jerks?
Totally surprised.
vineyarddawg - February 11, 2012
KCP is the man.
UGAVike - February 11, 2012
Way to step up, GR2!
Saw some real offensive sets today. Fox Hounds are getting better.
DavetheDawg - February 11, 2012
Yes.
After being cold for pretty much the whole game, GR2 really stepped up with those two clutch free throws on his first 1 and 1 that made it a two possession game with under 20 to play.
UGAVike - February 11, 2012
Fox did a good coaching job today, too.
Had his guys ready to play. Don’t know if you saw the post-game interview with Barry Booker (who gave D. Ware some shooting tips pre-game), but Fox seemed very pleased and a bit emotional. Great win on the road. First victory in Starkvegas in 10 years.
DavetheDawg - February 11, 2012
Woot!
Great win.
Jman781 - February 11, 2012
Although D. Williams fouled out
he played well against a much more turgid and lethargic Ricardo Sidney. Ended up with 11 points. I hope this kid can add a few pounds before next season.
DavetheDawg - February 11, 2012
Really unbelievable
hard to fathom the team I watched just a couple weeks ago winning a game like this.
