The Dawg Gone Podcast Show 38 is ready and wants to put crystal footballs in Targets across Georgia

Although not mentioned in the episode this week, the DGP wishes Ben Jones nothing but the best, as he is a crazy individual and it's always good to be nice to crazy people.

Hello kids! Yes, after about a month-long layoff the Dawg Gone Podcast is back and better than ever with a double (DOUBLE!) feature, meaning we have The Mayor, Kyle King, on the show as well as Chuck aka tankertoad. So yes, we'll be talking about Mike Bobo.

This is the "season finale" of the 2011 season, as we wax Dawg Poetic about Michigan State, the plethora of running backs we'll have on campus next year, what positions the Dawgs need to fill to round out a great 2012 recruiting class, and why Mike Bobo is a lot like the 1990s sitcom "Herman's Head."

I know you're just bursting at the seams to listen, so let's get you some links:

Good stuff, Kit. Looking forward to listening to it.

Also referenced: “Patton,” “Mad About You,” and “Smokey and the Bandit.”

Yes, there’s some mild profanity.

Only mild profanity?

I thought they were discussing Bobo?

I had a PFA put on my ass. And those two young hispanic gentlemen from Napoleon Dynamite sitting in their car shaking their head "no".
I really liked how the show turned out. I tried some new ways of editing the show that I think really helped the production value.

Other than that, I loved the conversation and I think it really summed up 2011 and what needs to happen to 2012. Kyle and Chuck sounded awesome together and it made for a fantastic show with great conversational value.

Hope you all guys enjoy it!

For the folks that don't usually listen in -

I suggest listening in on this one. Its nice and compact and well mixed.

Kyle,

I wanted to say really good point about the lineman having to stay down in their stance for longer periods with all the looking to the sidelines stuff. That’s one of those “little things” that adds up. More tired legs, more offsides, more time to “think” rather than get in the zone. More bad snaps. More delay of games. It got me to thinking of all the times the play clock was at less than 3 seconds on a snap. There were easily a dozen times I thought we had a delay of game on the way. More like a score of times.

I think the bottom line is we need to call a play, let AM check off quickly if he sees it, and run the dang play. A greater sense of urgency on the Offense can be just as beneficial as getting the “best play” in. Catching Ds while they move around because our O has their stuff together works very well. I think Kit is really on to something, go no huddle and letting our speed come to play would be a good way to try and attack an LSU or Alabama. Take it to them, rather than wait and give them time to adjust.

First time Podcaster here

Outstanding – thanks guys. My take – our offense has no “Swagger”

Thanks JRL

Funny you say that – my first show with kit I talked about the “it” which he referenced a swagger and I also referenced as confidence. Swagger is the fashionable word, but I think it’s confidence. Our D has it. Our O doesn’t. And although stats say one thing, your heart and eyeball will tell you something different. I felt confident David G would win somehow, someway. I don’t feel that way in the last 3 years.

Thanks for listening!

Hope you enjoyed it and glad to have you on board!

I know this is self congratulatory to some extent -

please listen to this show. It’s simply one of our best.
